STEM Journalism provides opportunities for students to learn to communicate beyond traditional essay formats. Through journalism, students can use graphic design to create infographics, they can learn to interview and practice public speaking through podcasts and use videography to structure impactful stories. These diverse mediums are becoming just as important as writing because of the evolving way people are interacting with information through various platforms. Our curriculum strives to teach these important concepts in bite-sized, 50 minutes lessons that can be done in both in-person and virtual settings. |
